Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE Smart Set-Top Box

Xiaomi has launched the latest version of its smart set-top, the box Xiaomi Mi box 4 SE, in china along with Xiaomi redmi note 7.

The Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE is priced at CNY 189 (approximately Rs. 1,900), which makes it more affordable than the Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV Stick.

The device comes with the Patch Wall UI, which is the same as the smart TV UI that is found on Xiaomi Mi TVs. This adds smart capabilities to any TV, when connected via HDMI or AV.

The device is powered by an unidentified SOC that comes with an embedded a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of inbuilt storage and 1080p output resolution.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n(2.4GHz), Usb 2.0, AV and HDMI. The box can stream contents directly from smartphones and runs the company’s proprietary patch wall UI with AI, voice control, video on demand, channel switching, weather checking and more.

The Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE is the successor to the Mi Box 4 and Mi Box 4c, and these products are currently only available to buy in China. The smart set-top box also supports screen mirroring from smartphones, and is a part of the Xiaomi’s wide range of non-smartphone products.
