The two most in-demand features in modern headphones are wireless playback and active noise cancellation (ANC), and Audio-Technica is addressing both with the launch of three new sets of headphones at CES 2019.

The company is set to take on big players like Sony and Bose with its new products.

ATH-ANC900BT

The Audio Technica ANC900BT will retail for $299.  This headphone offers digital hybrid-cancellation that uses multiple microphones, resulting in more accurate noise-cancellation.the microphones use digital feedback and feed-forward processes to minimize the chance of picking up audio signals affecting the noise cancellation feature itself.

This headphone has also received Hi-Res certification from the Japan Audio Society.

The ANC900BT can be used with Audio Technica’s new AT Connect app for iOS and Android devices.  This app allows users to customize and personalize operation of the noise-cancellation features.

Battery life lands at 35 hours when using both Bluetooth and noise cancelling, though this extends when using the headphone in noise-cancellation mode with the supplied 4 ft (1.2 m) aux cable.

A USB charging cable, hard carrying case, and an airline adapter are also included with the ATH-ANC900BT.

ANC500BT

The lower-tier ANC500BT combines wireless connectivity and active noise-cancellation.  Retailing for $99, the ANC500BT also utilizes a 40 mm driver – the same size as that on the ANC900BT.

Battery life measures a fairly standard 20 hours, though this can be extended by using the included aux cable.  Available colors for the Audio Technica ATH-ANC500BT include Black and Navy.

Charging is accomplished with the included micro-USB cable, and the headphones fold flat for easy transportation.

ANC100BT

The in-ear ANC100BT rounds out the new batch of Audio Technica QuietPoint headphones.  Retailing for $99, these earphones feature in-line controls and a mic for making calls on the go.  The earphones utilize a pendant-like design with the battery compartment placed at the back of the wearer’s neck.

Inside each earpiece, a 12 mm driver supplies robust sound while the housings deliver a slight but comfortable fit.  With a smaller battery, the ANC100BT supplies 10 hours of continuous use, but can also be used wired (with the supplied audio cable).  Eartips in XS, S, M, and L sizes (including foam Comply tips in size M) accompany the earphones.  A carrying pouch and UBS charging cable are also included.
